To me, Xmas has always been about etching strong memories with family and friends.

Its one of those times where all our senses are heightened and well tuned to the often frantic but magical experience of the holiday season. With the joy of the day, we take in what we can, but what persists over time is something more visceral. It's the fragrance of the pine Christmas tree. Its the smell of freshly baked treats. The warmth of time shared, unguarded & without the intrusion of the mundane. I've tried to recreate the fondest memories of Christmas using aroma alone.

Early morning.... As a 6 year old my fingers are sticky from hard boiled lollies and my mouth filled - I've raided the treats which cascade from numerous bowls. You see, the night before Christmas we strategically located lollies around the house to guide Rudolph and his precious cargo to the pine tree we cut down weeks earlier. Despite the earlier than normal rise, i run laps around the lounge room screaming "Santas been, Mum!! Dad, PRESENTS!!!" My anticipation quickly exceeds my self control as I start to lineup all the gifts with my name on it. But, I am a good girl and I will wait (for now)

The fragrance (#1):

Sugar Plum Fairy - The unexpected charm of this fragrance will delight the senses. Filled with plums, dark cherries and sweet oranges enhanced with peppery but fresh woody undertones.
Top: Plum, Black Cherries, Strawberries, Mandarin, Orange
Mid: Black Pepper, Clove, Cinnamon
Base: Sandalwood, Eucalyptus

After breakfast....I'm taken back to that simpler time of licking buttery sweetness from the back of grandmas wooden spoon as she single-handedly bakes a myriad of slices, tarts, scones & fruit pies. As I switched uncontrollably between my favourite present (of the minute), a congregation of goodies would arrive, most of which were topped with lashings of whipped cream. Spoilt.

The fragrance (#2):
Spiced Maple Pear - Hand on heart one of the most scrumptious Bliss Candles scents of all time. This fragrance begins with top notes of granny smith apples, pears, and black cherries; followed by middle notes of caramel and maple sugar; and rounded out with base notes of butter-cream and vanilla.

Xmas lunch....I've grown up now (somewhat) something's change but a few remain consistent. Anytime we gather as a family there is always a bowl of fruit punch nestled in a corner; filled with the nectar of guava, mango, papaya, and other tropical juices.Topped with fresh strawberries, sun ripe pineapple, a secret fizz and a scattering of freshly picked peppermint leaf. Before being shared, the aroma crackles as it's poured over a glass that's been heaped with ice.

The fragrance (#3):

Christmas Island - I've captured a long standing family tradition with this fragrance - the Xmas fruit punch!

And (Waala) here it is!
